Coleman Services representative gave an expert commentary for “Moscow news” portal.

Olga Agapova, Consultant at Coleman Services, shared her view to the article devoted to changes in labour legislation.

The Amendments to the law “On employment in Russian Federation” are supposed to prohibit from mentioning in vacancy description the requirements on gender, age, race, skin color, nationality, language, religion, property and social status as well as other circumstances that aren’t concerned with employee’s professional skills or experience.

In her commentary Olga put special emphasis on the fact that the requirements prohibition to vacancy description started several years ago. But employer’s key objective is to find the best fit candidate. According to her opinion, the majority of job refusals do not refer to the points listed in amendments. In any case a candidate has the right to expect professional feedback on refusal reasons from the company.
